Things you didn't know!

The following are personal "pieces"  describing Ernest and  his many contributions and acts of charity.

 Masonic Order

Ernest was a well known Mason.  His medal has his initials inscribed on it.

Picture Image ( featured left side) reads: "H.T.W.S.S.T.K.S." (these letters represent the mystic letters of the Royal Arch or R.A.) In the center the letters read "E.A.C." which are the initials of Ernest Albert Cousins. Picture Image (featured middle and top right) is a British Penny fitted with a suspension loop. The penny opens in the middle. Picture Image (featured right bottom) reads: " E.A. Cousins - Carnavon Chapter - No. 5 - G.R.Q. - Montreal - 13h Dec ' 07 " The manufacturer stamped below reads " W. Sharp - Reg. '97 "

The following is a note I received from from  Brother Milton Hill (14) -Chairman  'History and Research Committee describing the time Ernest was a Mason.

"I checked in our Grand Lodge of Quebec's files and Masonic Library and have found
the following Masonic information about  Ernest Albert Cousins:




Initiated:   Feb. 3rd 1905   St. Lawrence Lodge No. 14     (Member #89)
Passed:     Apr. 7th 1905   St. Lawrence Lodge No. 14 
Raised:      May 3rd 1905   St. Lawrence Lodge No. 14

Worshipful Master:  1914    St. Lawrence Lodge No. 14

Appointed a Grand Lodge Officer: Feb. 1923: ' Junior Grand Deacon '.
Appointed a Grand Lodge Officer: Feb. 1924: '  District Deputy Grand Master ',
for Montreal District No. 1.

L.M. (Life Member): Mar. 3rd 1925
Died: Feb. 19th 1964
